Before opening the restaurant and bar we had three goals in mind. The first was to give the old place a face-lift. We did that by gutting the bar and restaurant and starting over. We removed everything from the building and rebuilt from scratch.
The second goal was to create a niche that was different from all of the other local bars and restaurants. We decided to make our place a Chicago Bar. Skip growing up in the suburbs of Chicago ( Waukegan, and the Chain O’ Lakes area) has always been an avid Cubs and Bears fan. The decision was easy. Give all of the wayward Chicago people a place to not only see every Cubs and Bears games with other loyal Chicago fans, but also give them the elusive menu of Chicago food.
Wrigley’s features Vienna Chicago Dogs, Italian Beef, Maxwell Street Polish, and Chicago style hand tossed thin Pizza.
The name “Wrigley’s” came from the home of the Cubs. Skip even proposed to Paula on the scoreboard June 27th, 2006. At a Cubs (vs) Brewers game. At the time Paula looked at the scoreboard and turned to Skip and asked him “What are the odds of another Skip and Paula being here today and they are getting married?” Skip replied with, “The Paula on the scoreboard is you, Will you marry me?” Paula said, “ABSOLUTELY!”
Over the last 6 years Paula and Skip have been committed to constantly making positive changes to improve the customer experience at Wrigley’s. The addition of a 200 seat outdoor patio that overlooks the Denver city lights to the east and the Rocky mountain foothills to the west was followed by an outdoor Tiki Bar (open weekends), a band stage for live music every Fri-Sat-Sun, and to lighten up the place, 20′ of sliding glass doors on the east wall. Rumors are, watch out for a roof top patio!!!
Come back and visit us for all of the Cubs games, and on Sundays make new friends with 150 Bears fans that are here for every game.
P.S. If you are a Packer fan, we also broadcast every game, but you will have to watch them on the 12″ TV’s in the rest rooms!!!
Thanks for being part of the Wrigley’s Family,
~Skip and Paula Perry
