Hi! We are Paula and Skip Perry and we opened Wrigleys on March 28th, 2008.
Before opening the restaurant and bar we had five goals in mind.
The first was to give the old place a face-lift. We did that by gutting the bar and restaurant and starting over. We removed everything from the building and rebuilt from scratch.
The second goal was to create a niche that was different from all of the other local bars and restaurants. We decided to make our place a Chicago Bar. Skip, growing up in the suburbs of Chicago ( Waukegan, and the Chain O’ Lakes area), has always been an avid Cubs and Bears fan. The decision was easy. Give all of the wayward Chicago people a place to not only see every Cubs and Bears games with other loyal Chicago fans, but also give them the elusive menu of Chicago food.
Wrigleys features Vienna Chicago Dogs, Italian Beef, Maxwell Street Polish and Chicago style hand tossed thin Pizza.
Our third goal was to provide the best product with the best service at the lowest possible prices. Open since March 28th, 2008, we are continually striving to make Wrigleys that comfortable neighborhood restaurant and bar.
Our fourth goal was to build a large outdoor patio featuring a Summertime music venue and Tiki Bar. Wrigleys is now featured as one the best patios to listen to “The Best Damn Bands In Colorado” on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Our fifth goal was so unattainable that Skip and Paula never mentioned it to anyone… It was for the Chicago Cubs to win a World Series Championship during their tenure as owners of Wrigleys!!! Then the Lord gave us a 17 minute rain delay!!!
Come back and visit us for all of the Cubs games, and on Sundays make new friends with 150 Bears fans that are here for every game.
P.S. If you are a Packer fan, we also broadcast every game, but you will have to watch them on the 12″ TV’s in the rest rooms!!!
Thanks for being part of the Wrigleys Family,
~Skip and Paula Perry
